Dear Mummy Edue, I still can’t believe that you left us so suddenly and unexpectedly. I will never forget how you as my stepmother in Ghana more than 40 years ago took me and my sister Abenaa in a child’s place. And treated us like your own children, Selina and Robert, living there with us. You were like a mother to us until the end and the gift of your unlimited love, care and attention was the most beautiful thing that has ever been given to us in Ghana and will always be remembered dearly by both of us. Whether in Tema, Accra or later in London: our numerous encounters, conversations and the loving exchange and contact with you were always wonderful and unique and I will miss them so very much. May you now rest in eternal peace, my dearest „Mutti“ Edue. Amen
